Purple Guy (formerly known asScaryLB59 orEd) is a smasher from Florida who mainsZelda andSheik in bothBrawl andSmash 4. He is considered to be among the best Zelda players in the world for both games. Purple Guy is currently ranked 9th on theSmash 4 South Florida Power Rankings and was formerly ranked 77th on the2014 SSBBRank.
On April 18th, 2017, Purple Guyannounced the birth of his son and his temporary retirement from competitive play.
While he continues to play Zelda inUltimate (taking a set offDath in that game), he is not as active as he used to be.
