HIKARU is aSuper Smash Bros. UltimateSora,Roy, andDonkey Kong player from Osaka, Japan who is currently residing in Kanto, Japan. He was considered the best Roy player in Japan and the best Donkey Kong player in the world when he was actively competing. He also previously playedPokémon Trainer andLuigi, and was considered one of the best players with both characters in Japan. HIKARU is ranked 59th on theLumiRank 2023 with wins over players such asacola,Miya,Glutonny,Bloom4Eva,Kameme,Tea,Asimo, andProtoBanham.
InSSB4, HIKARU was aDonkey Kong main, and was considered one of the best Donkey Kong players in the world along withTweek andKonga. He is currently ranked 13th on theJAPAN Power Rankings and 48th on thePanda Global Rankings 100. He has taken sets off of top players such asVoiD,Mr.R,Abadango,komorikiri,ESAM,WaDi,Tsu, andfalln.
In September 2023, HIKARU announced that he would be retiring fromUltimate to focus on competing inStreet Fighter 6.[1] In May 2025, he announced his return to competitiveSmash.[2]
