Asimo (あしも) orAshimo is aSuper Smash Bros. UltimateRyu player fromShikoku who is currently residing in Okayama,Chūgoku. He is considered the greatest Ryu player of all time. He was first known for hisSumabato performances in late-2021 and early-2022, defeating several Japanese talent along the way. He first received international recognition for placing 2nd atKagaribi 7, which marked by far the best Ryu performance up to that point, and was further recognized for his international debut atThe Gimvitational, where he placed 5th. Since then, he has regularly accomplished achievements and consistent performances that no other Ryu players have ever achieved, including becoming the only Ryu player to rank in the top 10 on a global ranking, doing so by ranking 9th on theLumiRank 2024.2, and being the only Ryu player to win a major/supermajor, winningSumabato SP 51 andKOWLOON 15 with Sumabato 15th anniversary.
