In addition to SmashWiki'sPolicies, there are a number ofguidelines that guide contributions. Unlike policies, they do not serve as rules, but rather as strong suggestions, orprinciples under which user should operate in order to make SmashWiki the best it can be. Each SmashWiki guideline contains this header:

Unlike policies, users do not risk being banned or blocked for not following the guidelines, unless they are clearly flouting the standards and standing in the way of progress.
