Scizor (ハッサム,Hassam) is a creature in thePokémon media franchise.
Origin[edit]
Scizor is a Bug/Steel-type Pokémon introduced inGeneration II, and is categorized within the Pokédex at #212 as the "Pincer Pokémon". It is one of the final evolutions ofScyther as it evolves whentraded while holding aMetal Coat. It also gained aMega Evolution inGeneration VI.
Metal Claw is a Steel-type move with 50 base power, 95% accuracy and a 10% chance of raising the user's attack by one level. Scizor can learn it in every game.
Fury Cutter is a Bug-type move that increases in power with each use, has 40 base power (10 in Generations I-V, 20 in Generation V) and has 95% accuracy. Scizor can learn it in every game.

As a Poké Ball Pokémon[edit]
Scizor, when summoned by a thrownPoké Ball, uses Metal Claw as its attack. Scizor runs forward for a short moment, then jumps straight up and falls down, eventually off the bottom of the screen. Its role is similar toHitmonlee's inSuper Smash Bros.; any opponent that makes contact with Scizor will take heavy damage and strong vertical knockback.
Scizor has a spawn chance of30/583.

Scizor features as a collectible trophy, unlocked as one of the 150+ trophies that can be collected randomly during normal play, such as in the Trophy Lottery and throughout the various Single-player Regular Matches.

:Pokémon X & Pokémon Y (10/2013)- It may look like this Pokémon has three heads, but that's just what it wants you to think. Look closer and you'll see that two of them are actually claws. Most creatures with face-like markings use them to scare predators to give themselves a chance to run away, but Scizor seems more likely to attack while its foe is stunned!

As a Poké Ball Pokémon[edit]
Scizor returns as a Poké Ball Pokémon but now uses Fury Cutter instead of Metal Claw. When summoned, Scizor dashes forwards and jumps around, slashing multiple times with its claws. When finished, it makes a gesture and quickly flies away.
Scizor has a spawn chance of40/1463. It cannot be summoned on the following stages in a standard versus match (applies only to the base form unless noted otherwise):

- In thePokémon series, Scizor hasgender differences. Scizor inUltimate resembles a male, which has a smaller abdomen than a female.
