ARoturret (デスポッド,Death Pod), is an enemy introduced inSuper Smash Bros. Brawl'sSubspace Emissary.

Name origin[edit]

Roturret's name is a combination of the wordsrotate andturret, based on how it moves in circles to take aim and fires like a turret gun.

InSuper Smash Bros. Brawl[edit]

A Roturret firing.

A Roturret first appears in theSkyworld level. It is a stationary turret with a skull-like face that rotates from its center, charges and shoots at the player. When attacked it spins around, losing its aim. In total, a Roturret shoots six shots towards the player, which can be reflected back. The turrets are spaced far enough that even if it is pointing right at a target, the shots can actually miss as they go past either side of the character.

Moveset[edit]

Notes: The "d" below is a multiplier based on thedifficulty value. Final damage is rounded down to the nearest whole number. The move names are fan-made in the absence of an official source.

The shots are fired with a velocity of 3.8 + 0.2dunits/frame and accelerate at 0.04 units/frame².

Roturret
An enemy with a skeletal face at the center of its inner section that deals damage with a rotating attack. Despite a 360-degree attack range, it has a blind spot between its two cannons. It spins toward characters and shoots three shots at a time, spraying spent shells and occasionally reloading. This foe is pretty smart--it'll cease fire when you put up your guard.
