Megontas (メガンタ,Meganta) are enemies from theKid Icarus: Uprising.
Origin[edit]
Megontas are enemies affiliated with the Forces of Nature introduced inKid Icarus: Uprising. Its spherical shell is invulnerable to attacks, so the player has to attack its exposed parts to inflict damage. It can roll up and slam to attack, or it can fire explosive rounds. Striking its weak spot with a strong attack will cause it to roll onto its back, leaving it vulnerable to further attacks for a few seconds.

Megontas appear as enemies. Upon seeing a player, they will attempt to roll into them, causing heavyknockback. Its underside is its weak point; sufficiently strong attacks will cause it to roll into its back, leaving it defenseless until it gets back up.

There's no point in hitting its shell—it's solid. Instead, knock it onto its back with a smash attack, and then pummel its stomach while it's trying to right itself.
