Marshadow (マーシャドーMarshadow) is a creature from thePokémon franchise.
Origin[edit]
Marshadow is a Fighting/Ghost-typeMythical Pokémon that debuted inGeneration VII, and is categorized within the Pokédex at #802 as the "Gloomdweller Pokémon". Whenever it attacks, it briefly transforms into its Zenith form, a green-gray version of itself.
Spectral Thief, Marshadow'ssignature move, is a physical Ghost-type move with 90 power and 100% accuracy which steals the opponent's positive stat changes before dealing damage. The move can be upgraded into theZ-MoveSoul-Stealing 7-Star Strike if Marshadow holds theMarshadium Z.

Marshadow makes its debut as a Poké Ball summon. It uses Spectral Thief, where it first attacks from within a shadow,stunning the opponent, then appears next to them and punches them. When it attacks, it assumes its Zenith Form, where its head and neck are green instead of its normal gray.
On most stages, Marshadow has a spawn chance of12/1463 from Poké Balls and40/842 from Master Balls. It has a modified spawn weight on the following stages (actual chances may vary based on changes to other Pokémon):
- Master Balls 40 → 60:Pokémon Stadium 2.
Marshadow cannot be summoned on the following stages in a standard versus match (applies only to the base form unless noted otherwise):

- Marshadow is unable to be summoned on 49 stages, making it the most limited Poké Ball Pokémon inUltimate alongsideLunala.
- Counting Omega and Battlefield forms, Marshadow has 51 stage restrictions compared to Lunala's 95.
- Despite Marshadow ordinarily being unavailable onTemple, it was shown appearing on said stage during its reveal.
