TheKiller Eye (キラーアイ,Killer Eye) is an item from theKid Icarus universe that appears inSuper Smash Bros. 4 andSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Origin[edit]

The Killer Eye debuted inKid Icarus: Uprising. It sets up when used by the player, and it behaves like a turret, attacking foes in its vicinity.

InSuper Smash Bros. 4[edit]

The Killer Eye initially appears in its inactive state, when it can be picked up by a player. When the holder throws it down, it activates, then launches pink energy in the direction it faces. It can be attacked by opposing fighters;[1] if knocked on its back it will continue firing straight up, while if knocked on its front it will right itself by shooting. Despite being attacked, it will remain under the ownership of the original thrower. Any opponents within its range of vision will cause it to fire more frequently. If thrown into a wall or ceiling, it will stick there and begin shooting. If attacked enough, it will drop off.

Trophy[edit]

Killer Eye
NTSCA compact, user-friendly turret. Take the name literally—anything in front of it will be showered with a hail of lasers. Hitting one while it's deployed can change the direction it's firing in, but that doesn't mean it'll be on your side—this dependable little guy stays loyal to the fighter who deployed it.
PALA portable, compact turret. Firing a hail of energy blasts from its eye, it's as dangerous as its name suggests. Hitting one while it's shooting at you can change the direction it's firing in. Sadly, though, that doesn't mean it'll be on your side - it'll still hurt you just the same.

InSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]

The Killer Eye returns inUltimate, functioning similar to the previous game but with more damage (6% → 16%), knockback, and a slower fire rate.
