Ice Climber (アイスクライマー,Ice Climber) is the sole game of theIce Climber series. It was developed byNintendo and released for theNintendo Entertainment System in 1985.

Fighter[edit]

Popo and Nana, otherwise known as theIce Climbers themselves, are the stars of this game and are playable inSuper Smash Bros. Melee,Super Smash Bros. Brawl andSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate as one fighter.

Stages[edit]

The stagesIcicle Mountain andSummit are based on this game.

Enemies[edit]

Topis andPolar Bears appear inMelee as common enemies on theIcicle Mountain stage ofAdventure Mode. Polar Bears also appear as enemies in theSuper Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS modeSmash Run.

Music[edit]

Both the "Icicle Mountain" and "Ice Climber" songs are a medley of the main level theme and bonus level theme from this game.

Masterpiece[edit]

The game is a default Masterpiece inSuper Smash Bros. Brawl. It can be played for 40 seconds and starts at the first level. This is one of the few masterpieces that did not return inSuper Smash Bros. for Wii U.

Misc.[edit]

TheTarget Test stage for the Ice Climbers is also a similar rendering of the game set-up, including a flyingCondor at the top of the mountain.
