Gogoat (ゴーゴート,Gogoat) is a creature from thePokémon series.

Origin[edit]

Gogoat is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced inPokémon X and Y, and is categorized within the Pokédex at #673 as the "Mount Pokémon". It evolves fromSkiddo, which can be found in Route 5, at level 32. There are some locations in the game where they can be ridden, reflecting their species name as Mount Pokémon. Some Gogoat can found inLumiose City, where the player can ride one around the outer circle for a small fee. In the National Pokédex, it is registered as #673.

Prior to its video game debut, Gogoat first appeared in in the episode "The Journalist from Another Region!" ofPokémon the Series: Black & White, released about 3 months beforePokémon X and Y released worldwide (the same the day episode was broadcast in North America).

Take Down is a Normal-type move with 90 base power and 85% accuracy which deals to the user 1/4 of the damage inflicted asrecoil. Gogoat and Skiddo can learn it at level 22.

Horn Leech is a Grass-type move introduced inGeneration V with 75 base power and 100% accuracy. It restores up to half the damage inflicted on the target to the user. Gogoat and Skiddo can learn it at level 47 and 42 respectively in all games they appear in.

InSuper Smash Bros. 4[edit]

Gogoat has a spawn chance of40/975. It cannot be summoned on the following stages in a standard versus match (applies to both games and only the base form unless noted otherwise):

Trophy[edit]

Gogoat's trophy appears in both versions. InSuper Smash Bros. for Wii U it is part of thePokémon X & Pokémon YTrophy Box.

Lots of people in Lumiose City get around by riding on the backs of these Grass-type Pokémon. If you summon one during a fight, it'll run around the stage and charge at your opponents using Take Down. If you like, you can even jump on its back and get a lift around the stage from it!
