Bewear (キテルグマ,Kiteruguma) is a creature in thePokémon series.
Origin[edit]
Bewear is a Normal/Fighting-type Pokémon introduced inGeneration VII, and is categorized within the Pokédex at #760 as the "Strong Arm Pokémon". It evolves fromStufful starting at level 27. Although kind-hearted and affectionate, it is also very dangerous, as its hugs are strong enough to break a person's spine. A notableBewear is prominently featured in theSun andMoon animated series, in which she acts as a self-appointed caregiver for theTeam Rocket trio, such as always being there to rescue them after their confrontations with the protagonists.
Brutal Swing is a physical Dark-type move with 60 base power and 100% accuracy which hits all Pokémon adjacent to the user. Bewear can learn the move via leveling up as a Stufful,TM59 in Generation VII, orTM97 inGeneration VIII.

Bewear appears as aPoké Ball Pokémon inSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate. It walks and jumps around the stage, attacking nearby opponents by using Brutal Swing in the form of an uppercut that deals considerable damage and knockback.
Bewear has a spawn chance of40/1463. It cannot be summoned on the following stages in a standard versus match (applies only to the base form unless noted otherwise):

InAdventure Mode: World of Light, Bewear is one of countless spirits captured byGaleem during his takeover of the universe. Its spirit is located in the ribbon hills section ofThe Light Realm.
Bewear's Spirit Battle uses a pinkDonkey Kong puppet fighter and is fought onKongo Jungle. Donkey Kong has super armor, moves slower, and starts with a Poké Ball that can immediately summon Bewear.
