Battleship Halberd Interior (戦艦ハルバード 内部,Battleship Halberd Interior) is the 23rd stage ofAdventure Mode: The Subspace Emissary inSuper Smash Bros. Brawl.

Overview[edit]

The level begins with the victorious Halberd leaving while a heavily damagedGreat Fox crashes into the dark clouds. Inside the Halberd,Snake reveals himself from hiscardboard box on board theHalberd (the box had previously been shown inside the ship). As he does so, he says his now famous line, "Kept you waiting, huh?"

After a section of the level, a hallway is shown andLucario andMeta Knight are seen rushing down it after they boarded the ship followingthe previous level. They run past Snake's cardboard box in the hall, but Lucario turns around and inspects the box, sensing Snake's aura through it. When Lucario lifts the box up, Snake is astonished while an exclamation point appears over Snake's head and the familiar "discovered" sound from theMetal Gear series is heard. Snake readies himself in an attack position, as does Meta Knight, but Lucario reassures him that Snake is on their side.

Lucario then turns to look over Meta Knight's shoulder, seeing a group of incomingPrimids upon sensing their aura, so the three advance to attack them.

Near the end of the level, the group comes to facedoppelgängers ofPeach andZelda that were created from their caged trophy forms. After defeating the false versions, Peach and Zelda are freed from their cages and revived. Snake, however, motions for them to stay where they are. He leaves with Lucario and Meta Knight as the princesses exchange a knowing glance.
