SPSA promotes professionalism, passenger safety, and regulatory compliance by advocating for meaningful regulation, educating all industry stakeholders, and carrying out compliance and enforcement measures with our members in order to achieve a higher standard of service.

Following the deregulation of New Zealand’s taxi market in 1989, the number of taxis ballooned from 2,700 to over 10,000 today. The SPSA and its members. The Small Passenger Service Association (SPSA) and its members are committed to being the best in the industry. The results speak for themselves. Whilst other companies have come and gone, our members continue to go from strength to strength providing one of the highest levels of service in the world.
