Why study at SPRI?
SPRI's postgraduate degrees have an international reputation for excellence in all areas of polar research. Many of our alumni are among the most prominent figures in this field.
MPhil in Polar Studies
Our MPhil course is structured to provide a focus on research activity. The course is divided into two 'strands'; Humanities and Social Sciences in Polar Regions, and Polar Physical Sciences. We wish to recruit students to investigate specific research topics within each strand, with each student nested within one of the Institute's specialistresearch groups. Some possibleresearch topics for the coming year are listed.
