In 2009 the death of the talented Dirty Dancing idol, Patrick Swayze left all of us devastated. The actor, dancer, singer, songwriter first started his career by appearing as a dancer for Disney on Parade, which eventually lead to him being a replacement for the role of Danny Zuko in the Broadway production of Grease. He showed just how talented he was by singing and dancing his way to stardom on stage. His real success came from his performance in 1987 in the film Dirty Dancing, I have always loved this film and it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up watching him. After following his amazing performance with several more films, he went onto the West End theatre in the musical Guys and Dolls playing Nathan Detroit in 2006. He knew just how to captivate an audience and from his tough guy yet romantic roles had all the women swooning at his feet, always finishing with a standing ovation. During his life he received three Golden Globe Award nominations and was named "Sexiest Man Alive" by People magazine back in 1991, which I'm sure back then everyone agreed with. With the voice of an angel, the born entertainer touched the lives of many and his spine tingling performances will never be forgotten.
