THE YOUNG ATHLETE’S BILLOF RIGHTSThere are various young athlete’s bill of rights. They are asfollows:• The right to have the opportunity to participate insports regardless of one’s ability level.• The right to participate at a level commensurate withthe child’s development level .• The right to have a qualified adult leadership , the rightto participate in a safe and heathy environment.
• The right of each child to share leadership anddecision making, to play as a child and not asadult, the rights to proper preparation forparticipation in sports.• The rights to equal opportunity to strive forsuccess.• The right to be treated with dignity by all involvedand the right to have the fun through sport.THE YOUNG ATHLETE’S BILLOF RIGHTS
FILIPINO TRADITIONAL GAMES (LARO NGLAHI)Larong Pinoy is more than a game; it is great avehicle to instill patriotism, pave way for familybonding, and a great way enliven neighborhoodcommunities. Larong Pinoy will teach the youthto love our country to take pride in beingFilipinos. There are over forty know challengingand competitive Filipino tradition games.

MORAL OF THE CITIZENRY
A. WHAT IS A GOOD FILIPINO CITIZEN?Is the one who play an active and intelligent role asa member of a community. The one who fulfills his/herduties and obligations of the government and society.He possesses the traits of respectfulness, courtesy,and consideration for parents and elders and forothers. He observes punctuality, promptness, andgood moral conduct.
B. HOW CAN WE BECOME GOOD FILIPINOCITIZENS?BY LIVING UP THE PREAMBLE.We, the sovereign Filipino people, imploring the aid ofalmighty God, in order to build a just and humane society andestablish a Government that shall embody our ideas andaspiration, promote the common good, conserve and developour patrimony , and secure to ourselves and our posterity theblessings of independence and democracy under the rule of lawand regime of truth, justice, freedom, love, equality, and peace,do ordain and promulgate this Constitutions, (Phil. Constitution).
Duties and Obligations of every citizen indemocratic society:1.To be loyal to the republic;2.To defend the state;3.To contribution to the development and welfare of the state;4.To uphold the constitutions and obey laws;5.To cooperate and duly constituted authorities;6.To exercise rights responsibility and with due regard for therights of others;7.To engage in gainful work;8.To register and vote.
C. Four citizenship Value cluster1. Maka-Diyos (Faith in the almighty; respect for life; order; work; concern; for familyand future generations)2. Maka-Tao (Love; Peace; Truth;Justice)3. Maka-Kalisan (Concern for the environment)4. Maka-Bansa (Unity; Equality; Respect for the law and Government)D. Nationalism and National Pridea. Nationalism is a patriotic felling of love for one’s own country or a strong deepseatedattachment to one’s native land. It is a “dynamic Filipinism”.b. National pride. All of us must be proud of being a Filipino. As a good citizen everyshould know the different national symbols and their meanings.
The National Symbols of our country are;1. The Filipino Flag2. The Philippine National Anthem3. The Sampaguita- National Flower4. The Narra Tree- National Tree5. The kundiman- National Song6. The Nipa Hut7. The Barong tagalog for men. The Balintawak for women8. The National Seal of the Philippines Republic9. C. Teaching of NationalismTo carry out of the program of Teaching Nationalism, the followingpractical activities should be undertaken.1. Use the classroom decorations to includes pictures of Filipino great men,local historical scenes, and inspiring quotations by Filipino patriots.2. Establish a filipino Section in the Library.3. Establish a social science museum to exhibit relics, documents withcultural and historical values.4. Require extensive use of filipino hymns and folk songs.5. Use native materials for classroom instruction/use.6. Study Biographies of great Filipinos.
C. Teaching of Nationalism7. Commemorate historical events of national importance.8. Celebrate special days (e.g National Hereos day, Flag day,Independence day, etc.)9. Organize educational field trips to places of Nationalinterest in Manila and outside.10. Visit beautiful spots in the Philippines.11. Organize pageant presentation on Filipino talents.12. Organize educational exhibit of Philippines products.
