Scala 2.9.2 final

A new stable release of Scala is available for download! Many thanks to all our contributors and testers. You can find the new Scala 2.9.2 on our Download Page. This new release addresses several bugs, and introduces additional improvements; you can find the full description below.

As far as release notes go these are not a stellar eaxmple. These are just the commits and have such useful info as:

Or perhaps there is an issue key in there as well. Sometimes there is not only an issue key, but a link too:

Navigating there we find the issue description:
"scala.collection.immutable.StreamIterator[+A] has O(n) memory consumption"
which would actually be a useful Release note line. Unfortunately, the issue is unresolved.
If the issues are actually resolved in JIRA and set to fixed for v2.9.2, JIRA can produce these release notes in a much more palatable form, with links through to the issue itself. It also shouldn't be hard to set up a source link as well to see all commits that reference each issue key.
For instance, now that SI-4835 has been marked as the first issue resolved for 2.9.2 we can see JIRA's version of the release notes:

Missing sbaz

Back when you released 2.9.1-1, I tried installing the new version by using 'sbaz upgrade'. When it didn't work, I didn't think anything except perhaps that, for some reason, the new version wasn't in the sbaz system. And it was a minor update anyway, and surely, 2.9.2 would be installable through sbaz.
Well, I tried upgrading to 2.9.2 using sbaz today, and it also didn't work. After searching around for a while, I found an offhand comment that 'sbaz is deprecated and gone' in response to someone asking why these files were missing. Shouldn't this have been announced clearly, when 2.9.1-1 was released? Sbaz was a significant part of your toolkit, and I used it to install and upgrade components. I thought it was one of the neater parts of Scala.
I just wonder, how well thought-out was this decision? Was it made by one person in response to some difficulty with the move to Github? And why wasn't it made more clear? This decision smacks of flakiness. If you are trying to achieve critical-mass with this language, that's not the way to do it. You get businesses dependent on some tool like sbaz, and all-of-a-sudden, it goes missing, that's not a good thing. They will begin to rethink a lot of things, and I don't think you are looking for a response like that.

I also had not noticed because I don't use sbaz so much (well, I did use it for the last upgrade), but I think the problem is significant; the worst thing is that sbaz was dropped in a point release (2.9.1-1), while both 2.9.2 and especially 2.9.1-1 are not supposed to introduce breaking changes.
