Then your application will undergo a Partner Operations review and be passed to our Legal team for a final sign off. Once the course and plan are completed, a Partner Advisor will contact you to review your plan and put you on the fast track to ramp up.

Next, review and sign the commercial agreement tailored to your app’s distribution model, and complete a thorough security review to meet Salesforce’s high standards. Once approved, you’ll publish your AppExchange listing, connecting with Salesforce customers and expanding your solution's reach in the ecosystem."

To join the Partner Program and become an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) with Salesforce, the first step is to sign up for thePartner Community. This platform is where you will begin your journey, providing access to a wealth of tools and resources essential for building your solution. Leveraging these resources effectively allows you to develop a robust application tailored to meet the needs of Salesforce users.

Once your solution is built, the next steps involve formalizing your partnership and ensuring your application meets high standards. You will need to execute a commercial agreement that is relevant to your app distribution model, confirming your commitment and understanding of the partnership terms.

Following this, your solution must pass a rigorous security review to ensure it adheres to Salesforce's strict security requirements. Successfully navigating these steps allows you to publish your listing on the AppExchange, positioning your app in front of a vast audience of Salesforce customers, ready to benefit from your innovative solution.

Salesforce offers a standard revenue share pricing model – Percentage Net Revenue (PNR) – that is dependent on the app distribution model a partner chooses. A partner participates in revenue sharing with Salesforce only after they have reported their revenue for the first time to AppExchange. This supports the mutual success of the AppExchange Partner and Salesforce and allows us to offer various benefits as the partnership grows. Each partner that plans to commercially distribute their app will need to accept or sign a partnership agreement that is relevant to their partner category.

The AppExchange Marginal PNR Model, a partner program benefit, enables partners to expand their margins as their business scales. Enrolled partners become eligible for lower marginal royalty rates on future and add-on bookings when they achieve a certain Average Order Value (AOV) benchmark.
