Swingman Jonathon Marsh has today been advised he will not be offered a contract for 2021.

“We’re really sad to see Marshy go,” Head of List ManagementJames Gallagher said.

“Despite tough circumstances this year, which saw him regularly in and out of the team, Marshy was the first to congratulate his teammates after a win and also the first to get around them after a loss.

The determination he exhibited to break back into the AFL system exemplifies the kind of person Jonathon is, and we truly hope he gets another go at this level.

- James Gallagher

“We thank him and Elena for their commitment to the club and wish them all the best for this next chapter.”

Following a break from AFL after originally being drafted to Collingwood in late 2013, Marsh was picked up in the 2019 supplemental selection period. Marsh went on to play 11 games in the red, white and black.

The hard-working 25-year-old joins Ed Phillips, Matty Parker, Doulton Langlands, Ryan Abbott, Jack Bell, Jack Mayo, Logan Austin and retiree Nathan Brown in the changes made to the Saints’ list following the 2020 season.
