Vanilla Sky” is one of those films that thinks it’s way deeper than it actually is. It borrows heavily from other (better) movies and tries to mash dream-reality-psychodrama vibes into a cohesive narrative, but kind of flops doing so. Some people love it for the existential themes and the twist near the end – but if you’re sensitive to pacing, cliché characters, and pseudo-intellectual dialogue, it’s easy to bounce off hard!!
