With plenty of bawdy humor evenly spread between its well-matched stars,Neighbors earns its R rating -- and filmgoers' laughs.

What it does best is nail the angst of people realising that the birth of their baby also means the death of cool.

Byrne walks away with the film by making Kelly a well-rounded, conflicted person, rather than the film's fun cop who has to tell everyone the boring truth.

It may seem counterintuitive to praise the emotional maturity of a movie whose climax includes a dildo fight, but there you have it.

To its credit, the film keeps a brisk pace with the comedy and doesn’t make you wait too long between smiles.

The raunchy gags might not stop but Neighbors is a laugh riot.

Not so much a story as it is an idea played out in a series of wild gags, but good performances and some unexpected heart make it a cut above the usual frat boy fare.

Its ducks bad language and lots of sex and drinks

This was hilarious - childish for sure - but really effing funny.

Man, Zac Efron is a funny dude. This movie is hilarious and there are countless "shocking" moments that had me on the floor.I wanted something with the walkie talkies at the end to bring everything full circle, but it's okay. Missed opportunity.Best Character: Teddy (Honorable mention to Kelly)Best Quote: "Do you think maybe we've gone too far? Easy to watch and good fun 😊

A teen comedy with an old couple next door who are the same age as the frat kids. This is very American, very cringe, not funny, all round sub par. Watched on DVD.

I’m an hour into my first time watching. Not even one half smile so far. One of the least funny “comedies” I’ve ever seen. It’s like some 10 year olds who have never smoked weed or partied wrote a movie about partying. The jokes are so lame. I feel like anyone with connections can make a comedy. I could write something better in a day.
