Unfortunately, the monster plot is very disconnected from the human plot, making it hard to get engaged in the latter. The silliness of the monsters also clashes with the seriousness of the human plot. If you want a genuinely good movie, look elsewhere. But if you wanna see giant monsters being drunk idiots, i’d recommend this one.Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars11/16/25 Full Review Khaliel P Released in 1964 the same year as Mothra vs. Godzilla, Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster was rushed into production in just six months to fill Toho’s release schedule. The story follows Princess Selina, abducted by aliens, who predicts the return of Godzilla, Rodan, and the arrival of the space monster Ghidorah. The Shobijin call Mothra to unite Godzilla and Rodan against this new threat. Godzilla is now clearly a hero, Ghidorah the ultimate villain, and the battles are often comically anthropomorphized, with monsters tossing rocks or clashing like wrestlers, while Mothra appears only as a larva. Effects suffer from budget constraints, yet some scenes—like Ghidorah’s attack on Tokyo—remain impressive. Surprisingly, the human subplot involving the princess and assassins is well-developed, almost strong enough to carry the film on its own. Though occasionally ridiculous, the movie is notable for Ghidorah’s first appearance and the remarkable feat of completing it under such tight deadlines.Rated 1.5/5 Stars • Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars08/17/25 Full Review Audience Member *GHIDORAH The 3-Headed Monster.Rated 3.5/5 Stars • Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars09/20/24 Full Review Cooper K Best fight sene everRated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars07/20/24 Full Review Rich A Classic must seen by any monster fans!Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars04/23/24 Full Review Chanr3y k The Movie has a slow Buildup to the reveal of Ghidorah, this can be a little boring to some audiences, but I don't mind it, the characters are a little weaker than its predecessor, and the movie does sometimes seem more focused on Godzilla and Rodan then Ghidorah at points, but it makes up with it's interesting human plot.Rated 3.5/5 Stars • Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars04/15/24 Full Review Read all reviews
