I may like this genre of comedy, but a film like this makes me hope it's going to fade soon.

Critics Missed the Point—Shocking, I KnowDance Flick got panned like it was trying to be Citizen Kane. Newsflash: it wasn’t. It’s a dumb, hilarious, unapologetic parody—Scary Movie for dance films—and it nails it. If you’ve ever seen Save the Last Dance or You Got Served, this movie roasts them perfectly.Is it stupid? Absolutely. But it’s also funnier than half the stuff with “Certified Fresh” slapped on it. Critics just didn’t get the joke—again.

The general consensus of this film is mind boggling. Maybe Wayans brothers were just way ahead of their time. This films follows the plot of Save the Last Dance almost verbatim, parodying many other films of the time along the way, such as Step up, Twilight, Ray, and High School Musical.If you haven't seen any of the films it's parodying, you'll likely just be confused. However, if you have, you'll be in stitches the entire film.

This is the best comedy since that 1978 classic, Animal House. The Academy Awards will be flying when thus hits the theaters again.

Okay watch at best, don't want to watch again, and I can't really recommend.For the most part, they managed to focus on dance movie references, but there was a Catwoman and Twilight reference that were really odd.I spent a lot of the movie questioning if things were funny or how offensive they were and if it was okay. Kind off pulled me out of the movie.
