Rory Quinto's "Anak" shows the passion and talent of both cast and crew of the film and shows a well-rounded and most of all gut-wrenching, tear-jerking film about family love and family dilemma. It will surely go down in my book as one of the greatest Filipino films of all time.

A Philippine movie about family relations, a mother goes abroad to work, and her employer refuses to let her go see her family. When her husband dies, and she returns, her children are angry at her. It is a very realistic and sad story, and with the song "Anak" playing in the background, it gets very emotional at times.

It is a Philippine film about a mothers anguish and desperation as she tries her best to give and make a better life for her family....Film also tackles the hardship of Filipinos who work overseas..but more importantly it is about the family ties..it also answerers the question on weather anything can replace parental nurturing and why sometimes mother's sacrifices is not enough....I think this is a brilliant film, a very real experience and feelings that are familiar to many....Surely most mother's can relate to this..
