Abstract
This document defines the Unprotected CWT Claims Set (UCCS), a dataformat for representing a CBOR Web Token (CWT) Claims Set withoutprotecting it by a signature, Message Authentication Code (MAC), orencryption. UCCS enables the use of CWT claims in environments whereprotection is provided by other means, such as secure communicationchannels or trusted execution environments. This specificationdefines a CBOR tag for UCCS and describes the UCCS format, itsencoding, and its processing considerations. It also discussessecurity implications of using unprotected claims sets.
