Abstract
Some proposed extensions to the Automated Certificate ManagementEnvironment (ACME) rely on proving eligibility for certificatesthrough consulting an external authority that issues a tokenaccording to a particular policy. This document specifies a genericAuthority Token Challenge for ACME that supports subtype claims fordifferent identifiers or namespaces that can be defined separatelyfor specific applications.
