Abstract

This document describes how the Alternate-Marking Method can be usedas a passive performance measurement tool in an IPv6 domain. Itdefines an Extension Header Option to encode Alternate-Markinginformation in both the Hop-by-Hop Options Header and DestinationOptions Header.
