Abstract

This document generalizes and expands the Alternate-Markingmethodology to measure any kind of unicast flow whose packets canfollow several different paths in the network; this can result in amultipoint-to-multipoint network. The network clustering approach ispresented and, for this reason, the technique described here iscalled "Clustered Alternate Marking". This document obsoletes RFC8889.
