Abstract

The Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is a statelessapplication-level protocol for distributed, collaborative, hypertextinformation systems. This document defines HTTP caches and theassociated header fields that control cache behavior or indicatecacheable response messages.

This document obsoletes RFC 7234.
