Abstract

This document explains the problems associated with the use ofNo-Path Destination Advertisement Object (NPDAO) messaging in RFC6550 and also discusses the requirements for an optimized routeinvalidation messaging scheme. Further, this document specifies a newproactive route invalidation message called the "Destination CleanupObject" (DCO), which fulfills requirements for optimized routeinvalidation messaging.
