Abstract

This document defines an extensible method to return additionalinformation about the cause of DNS errors. Though created primarilyto extend SERVFAIL to provide additional information about the causeof DNS and DNSSEC failures, the Extended DNS Errors option defined inthis document allows all response types to contain extended errorinformation. Extended DNS Error information does not change theprocessing of RCODEs.
