Abstract

This document defines a way for a Border Gateway Protocol - LinkState (BGP-LS) speaker to advertise multiple types of supportedMaximum SID Depths (MSDs) at node and/or link granularity.

Such advertisements allow entities (e.g., centralized controllers) todetermine whether a particular Segment Identifier (SID) stack can besupported in a given network.

For the definition ofStatus,seeRFC 2026.

For the definition ofStream, seeRFC 8729.
