Abstract

An active stateful Path Computation Element (PCE) is capable ofcomputing as well as controlling via Path Computation ElementCommunication Protocol (PCEP) Multiprotocol Label Switching TrafficEngineering (MPLS-TE) Label Switched Paths (LSPs). Furthermore, it isalso possible for an active stateful PCE to create, maintain, anddelete LSPs. This document defines the PCEP extension to associatetwo or more LSPs to provide end-to-end path protection.
