Abstract

This document outlines a specification for multilateralinterconnections at Internet Exchange Points (IXPs). Multilateralinterconnection is a method of exchanging routing information amongthree or more External BGP (EBGP) speakers using a singleintermediate broker system, referred to as a route server. Routeservers are typically used on shared access media networks, such asIXPs, to facilitate simplified interconnection among multipleInternet routers.
