Abstract

This document defines Seamless Bidirectional Forwarding Detection(S-BFD), a simplified mechanism for using BFD with a large proportionof negotiation aspects eliminated, thus providing benefits such asquick provisioning, as well as improved control and flexibility fornetwork nodes initiating path monitoring.
