Abstract

This document discusses privacy and security considerations forseveral IPv6 address generation mechanisms, both standardized andnon-standardized. It evaluates how different mechanisms mitigatedifferent threats and the trade-offs that implementors, developers,and users face in choosing different addresses or address generationmechanisms.
