This document is a product of the work of the Multiple InterfacesArchitecture Design team. It outlines a solution framework for someof the issues experienced by nodes that can be attached to multiplenetworks simultaneously. The framework defines the concept of aProvisioning Domain (PvD), which is a consistent set of networkconfiguration information. PvD-aware nodes learn PvD-specificinformation from the networks they are attached to and/or othersources. PvDs are used to enable separation and configurationconsistency in the presence of multiple concurrent connections.
