Abstract

JSON Web Signature (JWS) represents content secured with digitalsignatures or Message Authentication Codes (MACs) using JSON-baseddata structures. Cryptographic algorithms and identifiers for usewith this specification are described in the separate JSON WebAlgorithms (JWA) specification and an IANA registry defined by thatspecification. Related encryption capabilities are described in theseparate JSON Web Encryption (JWE) specification.
