Abstract
This document provides a model of information needed by the Routingand Wavelength Assignment (RWA) process in Wavelength SwitchedOptical Networks (WSONs). The purpose of the information describedin this model is to facilitate constrained optical path computation inWSONs. This model takes into account compatibility constraintsbetween WSON signal attributes and network elements but does notinclude constraints due to optical impairments. Aspects of thisinformation that may be of use to other technologies utilizing aGMPLS control plane are discussed.
