Abstract

Demands on networking infrastructure are growing exponentially due tobandwidth-hungry applications such as rich media applications andinter-data-center communications. In this context, it is important tooptimally use the bandwidth in wired networks that extensively uselink aggregation groups and equal-cost multipaths as techniques forbandwidth scaling. This document explores some of the mechanisms usefulfor achieving this.
