As a foundation for the definition of bidirectional protocol mappingsbetween the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and the ExtensibleMessaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP), this document specifies thearchitectural assumptions underlying such mappings as well as themapping of addresses and error conditions.
