Abstract

This document specifies a general channel mechanism for sendingmessages, such as Bidirectional Forwarding Detection (BFD) messages,between Routing Bridges (RBridges) and between RBridges and endstations in an RBridge campus through extensions to theTransparent Interconnection of Lots of Links (TRILL) protocol.
