Abstract

This document defines protocols, procedures, and conventions to beemployed by peers implementing the Generic Security ServiceApplication Program Interface (GSS-API) when using the ExtensibleAuthentication Protocol mechanism. Through the GS2 family ofmechanisms defined in RFC 5801, these protocols also define howSimple Authentication and Security Layer (SASL) applications use theExtensible Authentication Protocol.
