Abstract

This specification defines Web Linking using a link format for use byconstrained web servers to describe hosted resources, theirattributes, and other relationships between links. Based on the HTTPLink Header field defined in RFC 5988, the Constrained RESTfulEnvironments (CoRE) Link Format is carried as a payload and isassigned an Internet media type. "RESTful" refers to theRepresentational State Transfer (REST) architecture. A well-knownURI is defined as a default entry point for requesting the linkshosted by a server. [STANDARDS-TRACK]
