Abstract

This document updates RFC 5043 and RFC 5044 by extending MarkerProtocol Data Unit (PDU) Aligned Framing (MPA) negotiation for RemoteDirect Memory Access (RDMA) connection establishment. The firstenhancement extends RFC 5044, enabling peer-to-peer connectionestablishment over MPA / Transmission Control Protocol (TCP). Thesecond enhancement extends both RFC 5043 and RFC 5044, by providingan option for standardized exchange of RDMA-layer connectionconfiguration. [STANDARDS-TRACK]
