This document describes issues encountered by a node attached tomultiple provisioning domains. This node receives configurationinformation from each of its provisioning domains, where someconfiguration objects are global to the node and others are local tothe interface. Issues such as selecting the wrong interface to sendtraffic happen when conflicting node-scoped configuration objects arereceived and inappropriately used. Moreover, other issues are theresult of simultaneous attachment to multiple networks, such asdomain selection or addressing and naming space overlaps, regardlessof the provisioning mechanism. While multiple provisioning domainsare typically seen on nodes with multiple interfaces, this documentalso discusses situations involving single-interface nodes. This document is not an Internet Standards Track specification; it ispublished for informational purposes.
