Abstract
The Cryptographic Message Syntax (CMS) format, and many associatedformats, are expressed using ASN.1. The current ASN.1 modulesconform to the 1988 version of ASN.1. This document updates someauxiliary ASN.1 modules to conform to the 2008 version of ASN.1; the1988 ASN.1 modules remain the normative version. There are no bits-on-the-wire changes to any of the formats; this is simply a change tothe syntax. This document is not an Internet Standards Track specification; it is published for informational purposes.
