This document defines extensions to core features of the ExtensibleMessaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP) that provide basic instantmessaging (IM) and presence functionality in conformance with therequirements in RFC 2779. This document obsoletes RFC 3921. [STANDARDS-TRACK]
