Abstract

Detecting Network Attachment allows hosts to assess if its existingaddressing or routing configuration is valid for a newly connectednetwork. This document provides simple procedures for DetectingNetwork Attachment in IPv6 hosts, and procedures for routers tosupport such services. [STANDARDS-TRACK]
